I hate to admit it, but I’ve done what I detest most about
other websites: not posted anything new for 3 MONTHS! My sincere apologies!
Much like my Trek US road blogging cousin, I’m making a resolution to post more
regularly and with more interesting topics for 2010. I hope you’ll forgive me
and stay with me!
So, to kick things off for 2010, I am doing a bit of a retrospective look at all the things that happened in the last 3 months, just to clean the slate, ready for the exciting things happening ahead.
First up, I can’t let you run the risk of not seeing the latest custom bikes that Trek have put out.
Any tech geeks out there will be familiar with Wired magazine, and they have partnered with Trek to produce a one-off Madone paying homage to the iconic Wired magazine spine design. Read more about it here and here.
Then there is the Trek District Carbon made for Lance.
Of course it has yellow highlights, including a yellow Gates carbon belt. Nice! Check it here and more details here.
While we’re on city/pavement bike related news, there seems to be a trend overseas towards bike ‘stations’; designated small shop fronts providing bike storage and other services that can range from lockers to showers and a full bike workshop.
Check out some news and images here,
here and here. Lets hope some start coming to Australia so that more people can be encouraged to ride to work!
That’s it for the first return post! More very soon…
